Moving Meditation ultimately is aimed at giving you an indestructible sense of well-being that you enjoy throughout your regular daily activities.
Moving meditation in Lishi includes all the forms of exercise we practice (Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Taoist Yoga, etc.) – some are slow, some are fast, some are done in pairs or even groups.
They are just different ways to develop the same thing – an indestructible sense of well-being.
It’s a form of accelerated learning. We are all active most of the time, we normally work with other people, communicate, work to deadlines, travel. Doing Moving Meditation in Lishi makes it easier to develop the skills to get this sense of well-being all the time.
Sitting still in a quiet place isn’t something most of us can do during our normal activities!!
So it is easier, and quicker, to learn by doing active forms of meditation.

At your first class you will be introduced to principles and exercises that have stood the test of time. They have been proven to work for both men and women for thousands of years so you can feel confident they will work for you too.
Through a range of Taoist exercises with some similarities to Yoga, Tai Chi and Kungfu, here’s just some of what you will discover….
The Power of Relaxation
I will help you prove to yourself that tension and stress actually make you weaker. I will then show you ways to rid yourself of this forever and prove how being relaxed doubles your strength instantly.
The Keys to Greater Vitality
Building on lessons of relaxation I hand you the Keys to Greater Vitality by revealing special Taoist ‘Dao Yin’ breathing techniques.
Moving with Stillness
Learn to focus your mind and develop incredible concentration through mindful exercise that promotes greater calm and harmony between mind and body.
Raise the Tempo
True fitness is achieved by increasing the intensity of how you currently exercise. Taoists in China realised this thousands of years ago and developed exercises that are safe yet challenging for all people. It doesn’t matter how fit or unfit you are when you walk through the door to the class our exercises are guaranteed to exercise your heart and lungs, burn fat and tone and strengthen your muscles so that you have more energy available at all times.
Chi – Your Vital Force
You will be introduced to the natural energy within your body that has always been available to you. Exercising and utilising your “chi” or “qi” is the very essence of Lishi and brings greater benefits than you can realise.
Self-Defense that is fun and simple
The principles of Lishi are very effective as a system of self-defense and step-by-step you will gain greater coordination and confidence by working with a partner to test what you are learning in a supportive environment.
Once you experience the benefits of lishi, you will want to make “feeling fit, healthy and energised” your natural way. We will spend time learning and practising exercises so that Lishi becomes a natural part of your lifestyle so you can draw on the benefits whenever you want, wherever you are.

Directions
From Picton Road
Head to Picton Clock Tower. At the Clock Tower roundabout, turn right into Church Road. Holy Trinity is immediately on the right through the first set of traffic lights.
From M62
Turn left just past the Rocket pub (on the left) just before the traffic lights at the end of the Motorway. The slip road you are on merges with Liverpool’s inner ring road, Queens Drive. Head straight through the first set of traffic lights. At the roundabout (known as Childwall fiveways – there are five exits), take the third exit to stay on Queens Drive. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right into Woolton Road. Follow Woolton Road to the next set of traffic lights. This is the junction with Church Road and you will see Holy Trinity diagonally left, ahead of you.
From Allerton Road
Head towards Penny Lane. At the end of Allerton Road there are traffic lights with the, now closed, Sergeant Peppers snack bar on the right. Turn right and follow the road around to the left. This is Church Road and Holy Trinity is on the left just before the next set of traffic lights.

Lishi in Denmark

Classes in Denmark will resume in autumn 2013
It’s all happening in Odense. It’s the only place in Denmark where you can learn the ancient Chinese exercise system called ‘Weihai Lishi Quanfa’.
For full details of classes in Denmark please contact the teacher
What’s Lishi all about?
Lishi is different! From your very first class, you will learn how to use your ‘Qi’ (pronounced ‘chi’ and means internal energy/life force) and practise art forms that have existed for thousands of years.
Lishi is the Chinese path to physical, mental and spiritual fitness. In Lishi we learn both YIN (slower and more internal exercises to cultivate qi energy) and YANG (faster and more external exercises to express and utilise energy).
Lishi is a very broad system. It includes Tai Ji, Qigong, Chinese Yoga, Breathing Therapy, Hand of the Wind Internal Soft Self-Defence (Soft Kung Fu), and Forms using different implements. We often train in pairs where partners are in light contact and harmonise their energies. There’s also a tumbling art and lots more when you are more experienced!
Although Lishi sounds like it’s made up of a lot of different arts, and it is, the one thing that unifies them all is ENERGY. Since humans are made of energy, Lishi is all about You!
Come along and find out what Lishi can do for you. Click on the video link below to see Lishi in action.

Where does Lishi come from?
Lishi comes from China. People probably started training thousands of years ago and we can trace its origins back to a city called Weihai, where a man with the surname ‘Li’ (Lishi means Li family) lived until he moved to settle in London. In short he taught the next successor of Lishi, called Chee Soo who then passed the Lishi arts on to the current world master, who has trained teachers who now teach all over the world, including in Odense!
Grandmaster Chee Soo
International Workshops on Skype
When you are more experienced, you will be told about our international Skype-based Saturday workshops in Odense, taught by the world master in Lishi. Using Skype and a projector, the Odense students participate online with students from all over the world and get LIVE individual and group teaching from the top master in Lishi!
Weekend Courses
Once you are more experienced, there will be opportunities to travel to weekend courses abroad, in Holland, Germany, France and England.
FREE Sessions!
We run free outdoor sessions in the summer half-year and workshops at Odense events, at the University, in schools and businesses.
