Weihai Lishi Quanfa: A Daoist Whole-Body Breathing Practice

10 week CLASSES BEGIN IN BERKELEY ON SEPTEMBER 29, 2010 and meet every WEDNESDAY, from 7-9pm.

Lishi is a Daoist whole-body breathing practice that trains in movement meditation. It has an ancient lineage that dates back over 3000 years, and has elements in common with a number of daoist practices. One of the few remaining complete family traditions it quite unexpectedly came to public knowledge and to the West by way of Europe in the early twentieth century, and is unique in the breadth of its practice.

The classes this fall in Berkeley are 4-6pm at WildCat Studios: focus on full range of Lishi traditional Yin and Yang Arts practice, and 7-9pm at Rudramandir: focus on Daoist qigong training in alignment, breathing exercises and qigong, in solo forms and partner work.

Lishi Arts develop energy gathering, storing, cultivating and directing, and focus on balance, responsiveness, self-awareness, stress reduction, health and well-being.

Classes start September 29th 2010 and run for 10 weeks.
10 week course: $100
Drop-in classes: $15

Please wear loose-fitting clothes suitable for movement work.
